floThe fabric of the Cathedral is a great expression of the beauty of creation but the floral displays are the most natural of the different forms of decoration, which characterise the place. Various members of the Cathedral Community contribute to the arranging of flowers week by week, with particularly magnificent displays for the main Christian seasons and other major events. By ancient tradition, flowers are not placed in church during the penitential seasons of Advent and Lent. Flowers for weddings and funerals are arranged by the cathedral flower arrangers and are left in church for the ensuing week.
