St Cecilia Chorale

< Back to Choirs

The St Cecilia Chorale was formed in April 2002 as a result of a merger of the St Cecilia Singers and the Cathedral’s Youth Choir. The singers are all upper school age (thirteen to eighteen), the tenors and basses being mostly former Cathedral Choristers. It rehearses once a week on Wednesdays and sings Evensong in the Cathedral once a month (on a Tuesday) as well as one Sunday morning a term. It also undertakes occasional other engagements such as special services and concerts. The St Cecilia Chorale is directed by the Director of Music, James Thomas.

chorale-basschorale-trebleWe are currently looking for more singers to join the Chorale!  If you enjoy singing, can make a weekly rehearsal on Wednesday evening and are in Years 8 to 13, please contact James Thomas or see this flyer.
