Pilgrims and tourists have been visiting the site of St Edmundsbury Cathedral for over a thousand years. Today, we offer all who come to the Cathedral a warm welcome, the opportunity to pray and the chance to explore on their own or as part of a tour.
The Cathedral is open Monday to Friday and Sunday from 7.15 am to 6.00 pm and Saturdays and Bank Holidays from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm.
There is no charge for admission but donations are always welcome.
Regular Public Guided Tours (11 am daily except Sundays) run from 2 May until 30 September. Occasionally a tour may have to be cancelled if another event is taking place in the Cathedral.
Tours are £3 per person (under 16s free) and tickets are available from the Tourist Information Point through the cathedral shop.
For 2017 there will be no Public Guided Tour on the following dates:
Friday 11 August (due to wedding)
Monday 21 August (due to a wedding)
